Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County Featured in Better Tennessee Magazine
The Children’s Advocacy Center: The Emmy Haney House (CAC) is proud to be featured in the latest edition of Better Tennessee magazine, alongside other nonprofit organization grantees from counties across Tennessee that focus on prevention, intervention and education. The publication, created and managed by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, celebrates people and organizations dedicated to improving the health of Tennesseans.
The article on CACHC highlights our five core services: forensic interviews, medical exams, family advocacy (for non-offending caregivers), counseling and prevention education (for survivors and the community). Through these services, CACHC aims to break the cycle of abuse and neglect that affects more than 65,000 children in Tennessee each year – and that’s just the number of cases that are reported.
With help from supporters like the BlueCross Community Trust, Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County plans to continue its mission to provide child abuse survivors with help, hope and healing.
